Over the fourth of July weekend Emily and I went up to my parents cabin in Big Bear, CA and suprised the family. We were so busy with life in general that we didn't think we should go, but in the end we chose family over duty. Sometimes its just the right thing to do, making family the priority. My parents didn't think we were going to be able to make it (probably because we lied to them :) and we showed up at about midnight on friday. Mom and Dad didn't know that we were in cahoots with Jason and Esther and were shocked when we showed up (especially mom:). Sooooo, needless to say they were so happy to have our whole little family together for the weekend! The weather was beautiful and our time was priceless. And, of course, Abby was as cute as ever with her big blue eyes and bright smiling face. We caught some fireworks, had some barbaque, played some games, ate some smores... the usual family in the mountains stuff. Here's some pics I took over the weekend.
And finally we celebrated Emily's birthday today! She's 20... and pregnant. It's funny to me; she can get married, have a baby, raise a family, run a business, but can't legally drink. Just seems a little odd to me :) Anyways, I told Rachel Kish that I would post these today. I got some great shots of Abby and Samuel together. Do I sense a future romance??? Some would say that they are too young to be in love, but I see the signs :) jk. What do you all think? Are they a match made in heaven?
