It feels like Christmas!

Recently I have been wondering why Christmas is so much more fun as a kid. Its like the older that I get the less I look forward to the presents and all the festivities that come along with it. i remember waiting what felt like 5 years for it to arrive every winter season because time went by SO SLOW! All i could think about was what I was going to get (how selfish of me :). And now I realize I think it has more to do with the lack of responsibility when you're a kid. You just 'receive' a bunch of presents and all the preparations and the decorations and the whole shabang just HAPPENS somehow! It's only when you get older that you realize 'Hey, this is a ton of work!' and as time goes by faster and faster and you start running out of time every year to buy gifts for people on a 'BUDGET' :) and decorating becomes a big hassle... slowly yet surely the Christmas spirit just fades for most of us.

Well for me, this week I feel like a kid again! Right now I'm typing this up on my new Macbook Pro with my new Canon 5d in my living room (one of the sickest, top of the line cameras on the market) and today I'm getting my new lense (a Canon 50mm f1.4... this thing is the bees knees). All I can say is I'm in heaven!

I recently downloaded some new editing software that I'm in love with... here's some pics from last night at my bro in law Jared's birthday party... These pictures we shot with my old D70 because I'm still waiting for my lense to arrive for my 5d. Enjoy!

Emily took this one trying to get the exposure right... we liked it so we kept it because Em thinks my eyes are so pretty :)
