Emily (my hot wife) and I have these great friends, the VanDellens, that we have known for a couple years or so. We had the opportunity (and the privilege :) to take their family pictures this past weekend. Matt and Lindsay are those kind of people that you just feel comfortable being around, I'm sure you know the type. Their two kids, Victoria and Andrew (great name!), are a couple of the cutest kids out there, and the pictures that we took of them are the proof. So where did we shoot the pictures, you might ask? Up in Verrado of course! :) Yes yes, I know I might be using my favorite spot too much, but Matt and Lindsay live up there so it wasn't like we were going to shoot anywhere less picture friendly. We had a great time with them. The kids were a bit shy in front of the camera at first, but as time went on they loosened up quite a bit and their natural beautiful smiles were abundant the rest of the day :) It's so much fun to just sit and talk to the kids while taking pictures, they really become themselves and warm up to you before you know it. In fact, I find that the more attention they get while shooting, the less distracted they get. They even brought their own props! :) So without further wait, here's the VanDellen family...
Dont mind Andrew's goofy face :)
love LOVE this shot!
Pretty girl with a flower in her hair
These two really love eachother...
So rad!
We had to throw a couple romantic pics in there :)

What a picture of innocent beauty. I hope this one finds it's way into a frame...
Let's hear it for the VanDellens!
YAY! So fun to see these! We love them! We had a blast with you guys. It was such a low stress shoot and I think if we told the kids we were meeting up with you guys to a shoot again tonight they would be all over that idea! They loved it and they love you both!!!! As we left Victoria said, "Do you think we could sleepover at Miss Emily and Mr Andy's house?" I laughed as I knew that meant they adore you! Thanks so much for the fun picture shoot, your work that always surprises and amazes me, and for these captured moments to have for years to come!
ReplyDeletewow! well done! these are great! LOVE the swing ones, captured LIFE in it's truest form.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of Lindsay's friends and was wondering how much you charge for family photos (family of 4). She gave me your blog address, but not an email address to reach you at. My email is melissarfranks@cox.net. Thanks.
