Aaron & Lauren: A Full Wedding Post

Andrew & I flew out to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to shoot Aaron & Lauren's Wedding on May 31st, 2010. Yes, they got married on a Monday... but since it happened to be Labor Day, everyone had off work anyway! What a great way to start out the week, huh? :) While the green grass rolling hills and cloudy skies were breathtaking, the humidity was a little unbearable. I think we are spoiled with this dry heat in AZ... we LOVE the dry heat here. It is nice to get away, but its always nice to come home too!

Aaron is one of the most like-able guys you could ever meet. I do not think he ever stops smiling. In fact, his face is always a light shade of red because he smiles so much. A few times during the wedding, Andrew or I would ask him to give us a serious face, and he immediately broke into a smile! It was hilarious! He's just a happy guy and it is definitely contagious because I think I smiled the entire wedding watching him smile. :)

Lauren is just perfect for him. While he just goes with the flow, she is more of a planner and gets things done! I think Aaron (and my own husband because I am similar to Lauren) are lucky guys to have women who stick to task and GO GO GO. :) Lauren is just about the sweetest girl ever. She has such a beautiful, soft spirit, and she wears her love for others right on her sleeve. Not to mention she has just about the coolest family ever.

Their wedding was at their little white church, and it was packed FULL with people wanting to witness their union. As we were driving to the church before the ceremony, the roads were all blocked off with little orange cones. Andrew and I FREAKED out thinking "We cannot be late to this wedding!" Then we saw tons of people walking right in the middle of the street! We quickly realized that it was a 5K run... blocking off the roads to the church! So because we are VIPs in the wedding (being a photographer has its perks! :)), we drove on the left side of the road next to all the runners and they were not very happy about it. But we had no choice! I mean, who can expect that there would be a 5K run on your wedding day blocking off the roads so your guests cannot get to the church?! Andrew and I still laugh about this. Most every wedding we have done, something goes different than planned or something goes wrong, but as a little encouragement to our brides... we all laugh it off later and it becomes memorable in a good way. Things cannot be perfect, so we just take them as they come and work with it!

Aaron cried as he read his vows to Lauren. There was not a dry eye in the church, including mine. I was balling behind the camera.
