Rookie Dad Mistake #1

(Disclaimer: This is by no means the FIRST dad mistake I have made, it just happened to be the first time we had the camera. Letting Temple role off the couch while I wasn't watching would probably be the first but we will leave it at that :)

Yesterday was a very busy day and I was out of the house the whole day so I didn't have time to do a blog post. Emily went to hang out with Randi and Laeryv and dropped me off at Starbucks to work at for the day. The reason is that we were meeting Danielle, one of our brides, at her wedding site which is out in the sticks wayyy north of Scottsdale:) (this translated for those not familiar with the Phoenix area is 'far far away'). We are shooting their wedding on Saturday and are completely psyched about it! We took Temple with us to see the site which we do not usually do but since we didn't want to have to go ALLL the way back to Goodyear (about a 45 minute drive) we just brought her along... Danielle has 2 kids, she understood :D So while we were about to head home, we needed to make a bottle for T so I was getting it ready while Emily played with her in the back of the car. The formula can was a new one with an aluminum seal at the top, not like a can of soup but thinner. Being the idiot that I am, I was pulling up on the tab and pushing DOWN on the center of the seal when the seal opened and 'POOF!' out came the formula ALL over me; all over me shirt, my pants, in my beard and even my MOUTH! Lots of fun, right...

Moral of the story: Dads, when opening up a NEW can of formula, don't be an idiot; just use common sense and everything will turn out JUST fine :)
