Family update:
Emily and I are ALMOST settled into our new place... I know I haven't posted a blog post in a while and I have been getting some flack for it on FB... we will have internet set up in our new house on Friday (this is assuming all goes according to plan, which isn't always the case :) I cannot say how blessed we feel to be in our new place. In a time when they economy is hurting so badly, we can only thank God that people actually like our photography and keep booking us for events :) I don't mean to say that I think we don't have very good work, obviously I think we put out some good stuff or we wouldn't have developed this into a business. What I want to say is that I am very thankful that to put food on the table, gas in the car, and have a roof that our baby can sleep under... some people can't say that and I am so thankful that God has seen fit to bless us so.
Back to business: :)
As far as family shoots go, the Kirby family was an absolute blast to work with! They pull up in their SUV with their 3 girls in the back and unloaded. I felt like I was in a commercial; they all pile out of the back and are all dressed different and fun, each one showing their personality... LOVE it :) They even brought their own props... I haven't ever used props but I was happy to oblige and was MORE than happy with how they came out :). We did the shoot at the Arrowhead Community Center which I have done a couple photo shoots at already so I had a pretty good idea where I wanted to have most of our fun. Bob, Tricia and their 3 girls were all really great to work with... I hope you guys enjoy your pictures for a LONG time :) If anyone wants to add a comment, feel free to do so at the bottom of this post; we always love to see what people think of our work...
Cute family, am I right? :)
One thing I admire; dads who are dads but still know how to be ridiculous when the moment calls for it :)
Quite possibly my favorite shot of the session :)
YES... I know we do a ton of feet shots, but I just can't get enough of them... My hope is that I am not the only one out there with this same addiction...
Trying something new here, thanks for the idea Josh Newton :) My favorite one of Samantha
A little splashing never hurt in the long run :)
Thanks for the fun shoot guys :)
