BIG Family Photo Session!
Here is the follow up post for the Stockton, Mozell, and Phifer family photo session :) Again, we had an absolute blast with this family! It was the kind of family photo shoot that we just love to do; lots of kids playing around and having a good time. Honestly, they probably could have cared less about the fact that we were taking pictures, they were just jazzed about playing in a huge park with all their favorite people; we were just welcome guests into their fun and energetic little world. :) Kids are so real until you tell them to smile for a camera. That's probably why I am such a fan of pictures where my kids are crying and doing ridiculous things as opposed to them looking at the camera with a sub-parr smile on their face :) We definitely gravitate towards candid shots for this reason, which is why we aren't for every family out there. But we are so glad when we run into parents who tell us "We just want a LOT of pictures of our kids playing and having a good time." That's like music to our souls :)
These kids are so rough with each other :) Right when the Phifers arrived with their 3 boys and sweet baby girl, the boys all run over to their cousin Layah. Then they took turns body-slamming each other :) (Above) Sweet little Bella getting the biggest kick out of her sister and cousins. Guard your hearts, people, because this little girl already stole mine and the same could happen to you :) A portrait of Layah; possibly my favorite shot of the day. Brittany and the newest addition to their family, precious baby Eva. Eva (left) and Brielle (right) are first cousins and were born 1 day apart! I LOVE this one of Isaiah with his dad, Mike. He's their shy one, but he warmed up in no time! Emily and I have a way with kids, I guess. ;) The imagination that kids have is so incredible to see first-hand. They can turn anything into a story and let their mind take them beyond reality. A stage coach with no horses? No problem :) The Phifers. Notice how the kids, from left to right (or oldest to youngest) go from excited about pictures to 'who cares about pictures'... :)
