Happy Monday to everyone! I had the best weekend of my life with my beautiful wife buying me a new iPhone! She came home on Friday and told me she had a surprise for me and I couldn't believe my eyes. I felt like a little child in a toy store who got to bring home the most toy :) If you follow either my personal FB or our business FB accounts, you have seen that I am posting a ton more pictures and will probably get sick of seeing shots of my kids every couple hours :) I don't care, my new phone is so much fun and I am SO thrilled to have a more convenient way of taking pictures than pulling out my Canon 5d with all the adjustments. Plus, Instagram is the best App ever created!
I also finished with Moshe's Bar Mitzvah over the weekend which I LOVED editing! They are so different than the photos we usually do and I had a great time with my friends from the Jewish community as usual. It's nice to see a lot of familiar faces as we continue to do Jewish events!
There is so much that happens at a Bar Mitzvah, it can't be explained in a plain paragraph so I will explain the images as you see them...
My main man Moshe (Hebrew for 'Moses')
Moshe's youngest brother had a birthday the next day so they wanted a lot of pictures of him as well. He was SUCH a cute kid! :)
This is a rad picture! Moshe with all his brothers; His mom, Gitty, has her hands full with all the blessings a mom could ask for, to be sure!
After the family formal shots, I took Moshe across the street to do some portraits...
Then it was on to the party. I wasn't sure what a Jewish Bar Mitzvah was like until I went to this one. They literally had EVERYONE there! People flew in from all over the country to see Moshe enter the year of Mitzvahs and I really got a chance to see just how big of a deal it IS.
Of all the traditions that I saw at this event, none blew me away like this one! At a young man's Bar Mitzvah, they are responsible to recite a large piece of literature... in Hebrew. And when I say large, I mean he was reciting for what seemed like 10 minutes straight from memory! I could hardly believe it. In a weird way, and it's weird because I had never met Moshe before, I was really proud of him! :) As was his Father and Grandfather and everyone else there. It was a great moment for this young man.
And what's a Jewish party without some dancing!
Mazel Tov to Moshe and to his very blessed family! :)
