As soon as the door closed, it was all business. Tell Iz the plan. Get Temple dressed. Run to Target. Buy Isabelle a new dress and shoes. Run to Bevmo. Buy sparkling cider. Run to Party City. Buy cups. Come home. Eat lunch. Make sure the camera batteries are charged and memory cards are empty. Pack everything. Get Isabelle dressed. Paint her toe nails. Find a flower for her hair. Load the girls up in the car. Drop Temple off with Aubrey. Then... we were on our way.
Jared had planned to propose to Kylee this day at our family's ranch in Wickenburg. He took Kylee to Congress first to meet our grandpa and then was headed to the ranch after. We arrived at the ranch about 45 minutes before them to set up and check out the lighting. It was important to Jared to get his proposal on camera and we were thrilled to do it! We thought it would be fun to bring Iz along too to get some pictures with all three of them. So we found some good hiding spots, found the best lighting for Jared to pop the question... and then we waited. As soon as we saw their car, Iz and I got all giggly and tried so hard to be quiet. Kylee had no clue in the world what was about to happen and we felt pretty cool being all incognito.
Then... in the perfect moment, with the perfect lighting, in the most beautiful place, my brother asked Kylee to be his bride. We ran from our hiding spots OVERJOYED and toasted to their engagement! I am getting a new sister-in-law and a new niece and could not be more thrilled!
Here are some pictures from the day:
On the ride up to Wickenburg... we decided we needed some Jones'
Andrew's creative hiding spot
She said yes! :)
