I had the pleasure of working with the Wigwam Resort over the weekend with one of their weddings. The Wigwam is the ONLY resort on our side of town and it is a really beautiful spot for anyone looking to spend some time in the valley. They have a ton of construction going on right now that is scheduled to be finished by the first of the year and I can imagine that it is going to be an amazing sight when it is all said and done! The wedding that took place on Friday was huge and that's an understatement... 500 guests to max out the occupancy rate of the Wigwam Ballroom and it was going to be packed wall to wall. A good looking Indian couple was the reason for the occasion but I didn't stick around to see the party, I was there to capture the decor for the Resort. I have thus far had a great experience with the staff at the Wigwam; my friend Jodi works there :), Lindsay who coordinates the events is an incredibly genuine individual, and everyone else there has been great to work with as well. The Wigwam also set up a mock wedding ceremony outside that they wanted images of for their website so after we finished in the ballroom we went outside and shot images of that. Then I called it a day. I hope to get the chance SOON to shoot a wedding at the Wigwam.

The Wigwam
The busy weekend is over and Labor day is here... so why am I still working and writing a blog post??? :D We are about to head over to the hospital and take some pictures of our friend's baby that was just born TODAY. But I really wanted to get this blog post done because I am really excited about the pictures we took.
Right next to the green where we shot the ceremony site. Doing work for a resort was new for me so I took some shots that I knew they would want as well as what my personal preferences are. Here is an example below of the different styles. Can you tell which one I prefer?? :) Close to dusk, I really like the palm trees in the background of this one. A beautiful panoramic of the green. Brides, any takers on THIS spot for your wedding day? :) Then inside of the ballroom you can see how enormous this reception is going to be! Absolutely loved the decorations! It was an Indian wedding so all the colors were off the charts... So if any of you are getting married at the Wigwam and don't hire us, I'm going to come after you :).
