We're moving!

That's right, people, we are on the move... don't worry though, we aren't moving to anywhere fancy shmancy like out of state, just a few miles down the road. Part of us WISHES we were moving out of state... Emily and I are always looking for opportunities to travel and moving out of the desert would be a nice change for a while. I think moving sounds so attractive because it's an exchange of the familiar for a new frontier, some changing of the pace and a fresh start. As far as I can foresee, we aren't going anywhere for a while. There's just too much to leave; family, friends, all of our business is here in AZ, etc. My dad summed it up when he said that moving is so appealing because it sounds 'sexy', but it's not so glamorous as it appears. Maybe one of these days I will pack up the family and head for somewhere new, but now isn't that time.

We LOVE our little apartment; it's in a great location and there are a lot of amenities here, but we just don't have the room we need for when baby #2 arrives (until we find out whether it is a he or she, I shall refer to it as a number :). So we are moving into a house a couple miles east and are really excited about it! We haven't lived in our own house since we have been married so it will be a nice change. No more listening to our neigbors yelling at eachother through the walls :(.

So Emily is working on getting Temple's new room decorated. I think this is because we don't know whether to decorate baby #2's room as a boy or girl, so she needs to preoccupy her time with SOMETHING or the decorative bug in her will go mad! She and Hahna have been working on the new theme of the room which is going to be Owls... They hand made some of Temple's owls for her room and, I must say, are pretty freakin sweet :)

We have our next ultrasound on Monday and we are finally going to find out what the baby is! I'm not hoping one way or the other, just for a healthy beautiful little baby... that looks like ME :) We shall see....

How rad is the short fat one? :) Yeah, they did a great job... I am sure that Temple will fully appreciate the time they put into them... She will show her appreciation by chewing them to pieces with her newly found incisors :)

I think that the one in front looks most like Temple in 'Stuffed-owl form'...

  1. Congratulations! When you get a chance, would you e-mail me your new address so I can update my wedding invitation list? If you don't still have my e-mail address, let me know and I'll get it right over to you.

  4. The owls are absolutely precious! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and your move. Did you hire professional movers? I know that cheap moving companies can be hard to find but US-1 Van Lines fits the bill every time. Just a piece of advice for a growing family :)
