Phoenix Photographer: A Maternity Shoot

As I posted yesterday, Randi and Sam wanted us to do their family photos with a bit of a maternity twist :) Here's a few from the session...

YES, that's right, we are having a BOY, that's a tiny shmeckle (Sorry Randi if I spelled that wrong :)! I am really excited to have a little boy; a big part of me is really curious to see how I will feel about a little boy in comparison to how I feel about Temple. Temple is my precious little girl, I love her more than I can say and feel about her in a way i cannot describe. But I think it will be different with a little boy. I can't see so much of an 'in love' feeling like I have with my baby girl. I foresee more of a 'proudness' and a 'manly' love for him, as opposed to my love for Temple which would be almost emasculating to write about here... :)

So our party was complete with a ton of laughter and I'm sure our down stairs neighbors hate us now. Usually we are very considerate and try to limit how much noise we make; we have been the down stairs neighbors before and it isn't fun. But how can you control a little Samuel who is up way past his bed time and hyped up on chocolate? :)

The Jolly Rancher idea was ALMOST a complete bust as it melted in the cake... it wasn't anywhere to be found, but luckily Mama Thatcher thought she tasted a blue raspberry flavoring to our chocolate cake ;)

Kylee has always been competitive. Here she is very intent on finding that freakin candy... :)

So we are excited for our new little baby boy and are back to arguing about names... I am so excited to have a little guy to toss around and rough up... I do this with Temple, but it's completely different when it's a boy :)

Look how rad this baby's profile is... my tendancy was to use the word 'cute' , but now I have to change all my baby lingo.

First Doctor's Appointment!

We had our first doctor's appointment today and found out that everything is going as planned with our little bun in the oven :). That's why this post is so late in the day but that's how it goes when you gotta put family first. I love how much more real it feels when you can see the baby on the screen and watch him/her moving around :) That's ACTUALLY my baby in there! It's a crazy feeling...

A Maternity Shoot: Jared & Stephannie Walther

Andrew and I met Jared & Stephannie at our old church through some friends of ours. They are such likable people and we immediately wanted to know them. Right around the time we got pregnant with Temple, I heard through the grapevine that they were ready to start their own family after several years of marriage. I was so excited that they were trying for a baby! (I am so excited when anyone tries for a baby or has a baby... I just love babies!) They tried for a few months and finally BAM!! Little Reuben was on the way! It has been so fun to talk to Stephannie about pregnancy and motherhood over the last several months... and Jared... he is just a crack up! So fun to be around! We were THRILLED when they asked us to do their maternity pictures (we specialize in weddings so maternity shoots are a new adventure for us), and we had such a blast with them. Baby Reuben is so blessed to have such amazing parents! Congratulations Jared & Stephannie! We are so excited for you two!
