Hahna's a Senior! :)

Hi all, thanks for stopping by our blog again. A couple weeks ago I did a senior portrait session for someone very near and dear to my heart... I've known this young lady since before she was in high school and am incredibly proud of the young woman she is growing up to be :) This young lady is my sister-in-law, Hahna.

If you know Hahna at all, you know that she is fun and spunky... in fact, her nickname growing up was Curly Q Spanky :) She will probably kill me later for letting all of our blog readers know that, but what a great nickname! :)

I was lucky to have my Mother-In-Law and Sarah help me on this one... they brought lots of fun props to work with and we had a great time... Hahna is real easy on the eyes as her pictures show and she is really fun to photograph! Here are a few from her shoot.

A Senior Portrait Session: Parker

Sarah and I did Parker's senior portrait session a couple weeks ago... Parker's a good looking kid and he was really natural in front of the camera, which always helps :). We had shot at this particular location before but found some hidden gems in the nearby area. It's crazy what you miss when you aren't looking for it! Here are some of my favorites from this shoot. And don't go anywhere, I am finished editing Hahna's photo shoot and will have that up in the next couple of days ;)

A Senior Post: Staci

Hi guys! You may have noticed that I have NOT posted as many blog posts recently... we have just been too busy, that's all. :) Thanks to all of our faithful blog readers, we really appreciate that you care enough to stay tuned into our lives and see what we have been up to. With Temple up and walking around (almost :) she still takes 15 steps and then falls but she is even more of a handfull ;) and with little baby boy Fleming almost here in 8 more weeks (CRAZY!!) , we have not had enough time in the day. I really wish that there were a couplew extra hours in the day. That would make life so much easier, would it not???

Anyway... Emily is doing great! Other than a bum hip due to pregnancy moving her bones all around... it is so fascinating how the female body works in pregnancy! I mean, her bones literally move around in there like they aren't connected so that she can make room for a growing... YES, an actual growing, living, breathing, human being... 'inside' of her body. Still blows me away...

Well we are still as busy as before with photography even though I haven't posted in a while. We have the first of SEVEN weddings in a month's time this Sunday. That's a lot of weddings and we are so grateful to have found couples that love our work so much that they want us to capture their biggest day. In the meantime, we have shot 3 senior photo shoots in the past couple weeks and I am so happy with how they have come out. Here are a couple shots from Staci's senior shoot... And if you are thinking "Isn't she a little old to still be in High School?", that's because she is graduating from college :)... enjoy and stay tuned for more pictures we will be posting!

Senior Pictures: Amanda

Amanda has had a close relationship with Emily for as long as I have known her... she has played a pretty big role in her life and helping her through some tough times, as we all have while going through those Junior High and High School years. :) She has wanted us to do her senior pictures for a while and we were finally able to have our schedules meet and get it done. I LOVE how her pictures came out! The surrounding scenery was a really cool balance between urban and nature, a combination that I like to combine as often as possible. I doubt anyone would recognize where we were though it was only a couple miles from our home :) any guesses? This is one of the great challenges of being an available light photographer in the Phoenix area; where do I shoot and limit the amount of unflattering scenery. So here you go. hope you enjoy :)

We had some great textures to work with here...

SENIOR SHOOT: MEET COREY!

Hello All! Emily here! I feel like I have not written a blog in forever! With the new baby cooking along and Temple learning to crawl and stand and get into just about everything, I have had my hands full!

October was a crazy month for us with 3 weddings and several other photo shoots. One of those photo shoots were Corey's Senior Pictures. Now is the time for Senior pictures since the weather is cool and the school year is half-way over! Expect a few more senior picture sessions coming this month!

We decided to shoot Corey's pictures in Estrella Mountain Ranch, and we started at the Star Tower (which is dear to us since my sister was married there). As soon as Corey stepped out of the car, Andrew and I were thrilled because the way the sun hit her gorgeous eyes, we just knew we could not go wrong with her pictures. She brought along her mom and her boyfriend, Jordan. We normally do not recommend that family members and friends come along due to distractions, but in this case, Corey knew she needed them to make her smile and help her to be herself, so it worked out perfectly! We had a wonderful time with the three of them making jokes, and making Corey do silly poses. We are very happy with the way her pictures turned out... Enjoy!
